One has to wonder how long that works though. With a young team that's fairly new and exceeding expectations, it's probably a genius strategy. Confidence is the best attribute for a developing player. However, what is he like when poop hits fan and the team takes a night off?
Love his positive message right now though. Right message, right audience, right time. I'm interested to see how his approach evolves with the team and how successful it is. The younger generation thrives in that type of messaging. The "do it or don't play" message doesn't resonate with gen Y. I'm curious what is seen with a negative message. I suppose that's the benefit of having a Gio around to hold people accountable too
