Calgary Flames head coach Bob Hartley was on Ottawa's TSN 1200 on Friday morning.
On Johnny Gaudreau:
“He has been unbelievable, guys. Such a nice young man to work with. I would say as a young player - I was fortunate. I had Milan Hejduk. I had Chris Drury. I had Alex Tanguay. I had Ilya Kovalchuk. I had so many great young players to work with in their first years of their NHL careers and Johnny comes in and wow.
“Like, his foot speed is so unbelievable in tight areas. His vision is as good as I’ve ever seen. This guy... sees, or imagines, or invents passing lanes like not too many players in this league can do. And his speed is pretty amazing. He’s learning the pro game. He’s adjusting very well. He’s obviously very popular in our dressing room. Players love him and everything, so I think we’re just starting to see flashes of what Johnny Gaudreau can do in this league. He’s going to be a real good one.”
