The Calgary Flames have played just six games at the Scotiabank Saddledome this season but they will play five of their next eight games at home. The team is looking to get into a groove at the Dome, starting tonight against the Arizona Coyotes.
"Consistency, that's the most important thing," Bob Hartley said of the team's five-game homestand. "We have our own identity but at the same time, I think we have to send a message to the League, like who we are at the Saddledome. We have great fans. It's time for us to step up."

"We've got to simplify things, get that north-south game going at home,"
Mark Giordano stated. "We don't have the record we want but in saying that, we've played some pretty good games here that we haven't gotten the results in.
"More of that simple mindset that we've had on the road - find ways to win games and try to keep it simple."

David Jones (sick) did not skate this morning and will be a game-time decision. If he is unable to play, Devin Setoguchi will get back into the lineup.
"The medical staff talked with Jonesy this morning. He's resting at home," Hartley said. "He didn't come to the rink. I don't have any updates but he's going to be a game-time decision."

Sven Baertschi was forced out of Monday's game in Raleigh as he dealt with a virus but the 22-year-old has recovered and is ready to go tonight.
"I got really dehydrated," he said. "My body just needed so much more water, I couldn't keep up with it. I lost about four pounds but I got it back in a day. Yesterday, I was drinking tons of water and ate a little extra food and tons of vitamins. I gained four pounds from yesterday to today so that's huge for me."
The winger has been held pointless in his four games with the Flames this season but Baertschi feels his game has been on the upswing the past couple of outings.
"Since I got back here, I tried to simplify my game - get more shots on net instead of always looking for passes. I felt like the last few games, because of that, I think we've created something offensively.
"I think I've got to stick with that."
