Having said that, I would agree that McDavid is notably younger and projects to be a better offensive player, but I disagree that the margin between them is not small. Both are probably the best prospects since Crosby.

If McDavid keeps up his 4 ppg pace (which is highly highly unlikely) he'll be the best prospect since Lindros or Mario. Eichel is a great prospect but McDavid is at another level.
