It is absolutely arguably as impressive. I used only Kariya and St. Louis to provide some historical context to what Eichel is doing right now. It is unprecedented in the current era.
Having said that, I would agree that McDavid is notably younger and projects to be a better offensive player, but I disagree that the margin between them is not small. Both are probably the best prospects since Crosby.
