Okay, let's say we do end up lynching Diss and he shows mafia and we don't win right away.
I'm going to investigate you Drury18 because, yes, I do think there's a possibility of being mafia with Diss. I didn't want to say it because I know Timbo doesn't believe it, that's why I wanted him to bucket me and get my result. I don't want him to have to trust me, I wanted him to know my result.
So here's how it works out now:
I investigate you, if you're town. Well I know it's hockeyguy15 and will vote him if I'm alive. He'd vote for me and Timbo/Drury18 would get the tie breaker.
But if you visit hockeyguy15 leaving you, me and Timbo, who's Timbo going to vote for? Me of course, so town loses.
That is unless he gets my investigation results and sees you visit hockeyguy15.
Now if you are mafia you have to gamble. Do you kill me and hope Timbo visit me leaving you and Hockeyguy15?
Or do you kill Timbo leaving me and Hockeyguy15, who already have shown we think each other are town.
And if you aren't mafia Timbo gets the results that you didn't do anything. And the opposite is true.
If you're so sure I am mafia, there's 0 risk of putting Timbo's bucket on me. The only risk is if you end up mafia and it blows your 100% trust Timbo has in you.
This only works if Diss shows mafia, but I doubt we're getting a lynch.
