I'm not sure that's what it is, I think the other major sports may be as unsure as the NHL is in terms of local support, as well as a bit hesitant of Vegas being such a gambling mecca.
If the NHL went there and did well I'm guessing the other major sports would take a pretty serious look at it. I think all the major sports are pretty hesitant to jump in first.
