My husband's done a guys trip to Vegas and he drives out to Ashcroft every year to see his brother. I quite liked having the place to myself (more or less - kids are older and 2 still at home, but have their own schedules for the most part) - and he had a blast. He's probably going to Detroit next year and most likely will go on his own. I want him to go to Moab with a biking buddy, at least once on his own - I do want to do a couples trip there with him at some point since we both enjoy biking. I mostly do weekend trips here and there.

As long as there is balance, I think it's a fabulous idea. Nothing wrong with either partner having time where they reclaim their individual identity.
