Nothing seemed to get Backlund down though. He always had a great response when he was challenged, and it showed over time with steady increases in his puts/game pace every season he has been in the league. I still have faith that Baertschi can get there, but the comparisons to Backlund don't really help to bolster that confidence in any way.
