Look, if Sven is underperforming, it's either physical or something in his head. Lack of effort, feeling sorry for himself, lack of confidence, whatever. Suggesting that it's the latter is not analogous to treating him like a criminal.
My point on your response when given the definition is that you never responded "it's just an analogy". You just continued to avoid the question of how we are treating him like a delinquent.

I literally said "treating him like a delinquent", not, "he's a delinquent". That's clearly where I drew the similarity.
