Waiting to cross Edmonton trail to cross N/S is not a reasonable option on a major pedestrian corridor. If you can't wait for a couple people to cross the street before driving through, try an alternative mode of transport to work.

I use a couple modes. Some days its my truck and other days its a motorcycle.

To be completely honest though, its not the inconvenience it causes me, its that traffic just backs up there in general. Basically I'm fixing other peoples problems!
It just seems silly to have one turning lane there and traffic backs up when there is a crosswalk on the other side that could be used? Maybe they should have a designated pedestrian "light" there, or advanced left hand turn signal or something?
