The goat episode was the best so far. The most recent one, while adding the most to the canon, had some sloppy parts. Most especially, the scenes with Fish's henchmen. In fact, their first scene in the Gordon household was a completely useless scene. Didn't advance the story at all and only had crude grade school jokes.
BTW, how did Gordan, a green cop, get a penthouse suite behind a clock tower? Is Barbara rich, did I miss something?
Guy who is playing Penguin is stealing the show. I really wish we'd see less of Bruce.
But I am pleasantly surprised so far.

Im starting to come around, the last couple episodes have been...not bad. Good even. I agree in that I wish Bruce and Alfred were almost non-existent, and I think it would speak more to the mystery of Batman in that the kid is just out of the scene, not a factor, and then BAM sup bitches I've been training for years.
I read somewhere that the clocktower apartment was a nod to the older Batman shows / comics, Barbara, who I believe eventually becomes Bat-Girl in the comics, lives in a clocktower. While this show changes her role and everything, they put her in the clocktower.
Also wish they didn't have Riddler as Edward Nygma... apparently his real name was something else, and they should have used that, as it is more fun trying to guess which character becomes which bad guy and that would have added to that part.
This show without Penguin would be nothing, and with Jada Pinkett-Smith is worse. Not only that but she isn't a traditional Batman villain, they made her up for the show.
I do like how they're going mobster wars though, that's a good way to go.
