I think that was also my reaction.
I really hate the Abel kid. I don't know why, but his so-called acting or whatever they are having him doing is awful. What is the point of showing him listening in on Gemma again? She didn't say anything groundbreaking. That was a useless scene.
I think the writing has gotten extremely lazy. It has never been the show's strength, but everything is just so cliche. The sex scene....why did she have to rip off all her clothes? It was so weird, and the dialogue before it was horrid.
The scene where Juice sticks the shiv up his ass; I think subtlety would have been more effective than the closeup where is obviously pushing it up. The audience can figure out what's going to happen next...just fade out after the guard suggests he hide the object.
I hope Marks kills all these fools. I was partly hoping he'd dust Jax, but of course we have to save the protagonist for his final showdown with "mama."
The best part of the episode was Jax's glasses.
