If I recall correctly one of the city's most popular artists worked out of his home in inglewood - all of his sanitation equipment and gear was out in the open for people to see. I'd rather go to him than say some guys who got together and opened a shop in a bay of a strip mall in a scummy part of town.
You can be a pro regardless of the setting. It's all about your standard practices.
