Best part of the Flames. They've managed to purge pretty much all of the dead weight guys. No real super stars on the team yet, but a few that could definitely develop into stars (Bennett, Johnny Hockey, Moneyhands, Brodi).

Even the early season whipping boys, Wideman, Setoguchi and Jones are all contributing. Honestly right now I can't think of anyone who isn't.

The team, with all it's depth, has become plug and play. Which is the best case scenario for an organization. Opens a lot of doors in terms of being able to move players to fill other needs. Also doesn't let the injury spector cause concern and maintains a constant level of competition for ice time.

For many years the Flames scouting team did a horrible job of drafting and developing talent. Essentially the main reason we fell to where we did. But man have they improved the last few seasons. It's almost scary to say that we have a surplus of young talent.

Pretty excited about what the next few years have to offer to the fans. If we can pick up another good player in the draft this year it'll be very interesting to see what this team looks like next season.

Too bad Bennett's shoulder's messed up. Could you imagine if we added him to the mix this season?

Good times for the Flames!! Thank god we're not Edmonton.

Well, hes only out for 6 months from the beginning of October so he'll be back in time for the playoffs....
