One thing that is noticeable about Setoguchi is that, after a few pedestrian games, it seems he has realized his job is seriously on the line and is playing with a greater level of desperation over the last three games or so than he had previously. But it probably isn't enough to keep him around once bodies get healthy, imo.
Sven is in the exact same boat right now. He needs to show that desperation, and he needs to make things happen. Because right now, it's either Setoguchi or Baertschi going down when Ferland is declared fit to play. And at this moment, I'd keep the vet. Sven needs a great deal more urgency in his game, because even if he manages to keep his roster spot ahead of Setoguchi, both are behind Jooris and Granlund, and there simply won't be a place for them when bodies start to get healthy.
