Hiller was off his game today but came through when you needed. Though I think they should give the next game to Ramo.
Giordano and Brodie continue to be the best pairing in the NHL this season.

Sven will be the first one to be sent down to the AHL once the Flames get a healthy body back. A non-factor.
The Flames need to find a way to move Wideman to the 3rd pairing. He's just too slow to be playing more than 20 minutes a game. Was terrible in his own zone. Maybe bring up Wotherspoon and put him with Russell. Slide Wideman to the 3rd pairing with Smid/Engelland.

Monahan is better than ok given the assignments he has had since the injuries at center. He's almost like a defenceman you don't want to notice and then said guy doesn't get noticed. It's not a bad thing. Especially for a young player growing into his role (a mighty big one at that) and then deftly turning what turns into a dying play into the game winner?! Wow. Oh wow. We are seeing a young fine player turn into a silent killer right before our eyes. Death by lethal injection some may say..

Still think Wideman on the 5-4 against was a mistake. Some don't see that for for whatever reason. There were better options..

Caps had more bounces than we did especially with OV on Glencross, as most players not named star guy would have been called a minor for boarding at the least. Then the high hit on Smid and no call.

Hiller is the biggest reason this team can fight through stuff like this. The guy is all world right now and gives us another shift/period to win it and keep things rolling.

That's in part what builds winners.
