Why would I peg two of my buddies on my first list posting of who was scum and town, call out one in a long public battle over an invite and then decide to save the third one publicly all in the span of the first 3 or 4 days? I don't think that would be too bright when you have a power that will garner you some attention, more then likely negative because you will stop a lynch. I might be new at this, but I'm not that stupid.

Could a mafia have a save power?

To answer your question, my actual role could be aligned with either side. Much like the masons. This is what I am:
http://mafiawiki.notesmash.org/wiki/Governor I cannot move the lyching to another player, I cannot stop one on myself. I had to stop the lynch with a post, I did not get any private conversations with Mazrim about stopping a lynch. It's a crap negative utility role because I have to go on a gut feeling. I can't investigate, I can't track, I can't watch. I basically had to look at the situation, look at my notes and decide if I want to use the power or not.
If we had a scum governor, I don't think they would have had the public post like I did. It would have been harder for them to hide. Scum seems to work under the secrecy of night or messages. Everything about my power was public use. I knew when I used it, I'd be explaining myself. I can't exactly point a finger and say someone else did it.
