How would it look to our other young guys if management gave them the "Earned, not given" mantra then proceeded to send rookies down for contract reasons regardless of their performance? Yes he has improved, specifically because he has a full NHL season under his belt. He wasn't going to learn anything more at the junior level, so what would have been the point of sending him back? What a stupid article
