I somewhat agree. I think the Flames are well positioned, we're likely looking at playoffs in a couple of years and then maybe real cup contention after that which hopefully sees Chicago/LA/Anaheim on a bit of a downswing.
Right now the Avs are a vastly more talented but only marginally more organized version of the Oilers.
