I love Woody Allen movies, and even a couple of his books, but I can't even watch one of his movies on TV anymore without feeling queasy. I don't know what the truth is about him, but it's just all tainted with creepiness.
It's strange -- they both built their careers and fame on being quirky little dorks. Even before he was a media star, Ghomeshi was in probably the nerdiest, goofiest band around. Moxy Fruvous made the Barenaked Ladies look like Motorhead.
And Woody Allen pretty much invented the ineffectual & hopeless nebbish character.
Behind closed doors, apparently they are bad people. I'm just rambling now, but I have to wonder if there is a connection. Like some sort of "look at me, I'm harmless, come over to my house..." thing going on, and then, they, umm, aren't harmless.
