With regard to the rights to season tickets, I recall years ago you could acquire the rights from someone for a price, depending on the seats. Immediately after the Flames won the SC in '89, some of the rights to the lower bowl and choice 2nd level seats were selling for very hefty prices i.e. in the many thousands of dollars. Then when the "Seven years in the Wilderness - Young Guns Era" came along, you could acquire the rights to those same seats for nothing by just paying the ticket price.

However, because of the significant growth in the population, the rise in the Canadian dollar etc. it may be futile to wait for that to happen today. Also, I believe the trading in rights is much more restrictive today. Does anyone know the official policy of the Flames on the trading of rights?
