The whole ghost writer thing is a non-issue. It is no different than talk show hosts doing monologues. Most of them have writers that do the work. It is really about the delivery.

Jian Ghomeshi may be a sleaze bag (I am not sure, but it is looking more and more like it), but he was good at his job.

It's like Michael Jackson. He may have been a pedo (alleged, lots of anecdotal evidence, nothing confirmed), but he was a good performer.
