Former Stampeder John Forzani passes away after heart attack

Prominent Calgary businessman, community leader and former football star John Forzani is in a Palm Springs hospital after suffering an apparent heart attack.
On Thursday, the Eisenhower Medical Center confirmed Forzani is a patient in the facility’s intensive care unit. A spokesperson said Forzani’s condition is “undetermined.”
Forzani is a founder of The Forzani Group and ran the company for many years and is a minority owner in the Calgary Stampeders.
Several friends say it appears Forzani had a massive heart attack.
