Like I said, my hairline is receding quite a lot but my hair is still ridiculously thick and my hairstylist thins it out every time I get it cut as well. There's different types of balding and it can hit you at different times and at different speeds and in different places on your head.
My whole family has a ton of hair too. Niether my dad or either grandpa's were balding.
Apparently only something like 10% of people who experience balding don't see anything until their 40. So if you haven't started losing your hair by then, you're probably good. Until then you are fair game.
