I inherited the premature grey gene from my mum. I noticed my first grey hairs in late high school, other people were noticing not long after that, and by my mid-20s I was more than 50% grey. Probably 75% by 30, and closer to 90% at my current age of 35.
I have never really minded it, I suppose. It is unique and I can't be bothered to keep up with a colouring routine.
Funny that Wormius should mention that it is "Richard Gere-ish" because my soccer team nicknamed me that in my twenties. It was an ongoing joke that went as far as calling out "Richard!" on the field when they wanted a pass, and even introducing me as that when meeting people.
And just the other day, a kid at the pool asked my why my hair was white.
Women, particularly older women, seem to dig it. So there's that.
