I think the Giants are really missing Cain now (even more than Pagan). Bumgarner is the only reliable starting pitcher they have going.

I think Hudson will have a short leash tonight. Bumgarner could come in. How many pitches did Petit throw last night?

Despite losing by 10 last night, SF still has scored more runs in the series than KC. The Giants have not shown any HR power so far, and they could be overdue for some of that.

There are three pitchers in the past 58 years who started three games in a Series and won all three: Lew Burdette (’57, 27 innings), Bob Gibson (’67, 27) and Mickey Lolich (’68, 27).

Did any of them blow out his pitching arm? Here’s the W-L records of those four the following season: Burdette 20-10, Gibson 22-9 and Lolich 19-11.
