The word fat isn't very complementary which is the problem. A big person is a big person. There's no other way to describe them when it comes to body size for clothes fitting so "big" or "plus" is used. I'm a little on the fence overall as being obese is not healthy and I don't believe being obese should be acceptable for a lot of people. You don't have to be thin. You only need to be at healthy area for your body/weight index and a lot of people (not all) don't have any excuses for being outside of their weight index. It's becoming a big issue in North America and it's putting a lot of stress on our healthcare system.
