Devils and Isles have finally completed a deal that started over a week ago.

Living in entirely different continents I don't think helped!

The trade breaks down as follows:

To Devils
Oduya (67)
$3.5mm in cheese

To Isles
Connor Murphy
Mark Visentin

Oduya is a solid DF defenseman, but I just don't see the Isles having enough success to win this year. And we also don't have the assets to improve our team massively.

So we are taking the approach of bringing on rookies who will likely have to rating next year.

Connor Murphy played 30 games last year for the Yotes and is now playing a reproach round 18min a game full time. He is a 6'4 mobile dman and the Yotes produce solid dmen so hopefully he continues to improve.

Visentin is a former 1st rounder goalie. Goalies always take forever but has progressed well so far and will continue to start in the AHL.
