I like to mix it up : sometimes neat, sometimes with a single rock of ice. I find that just a little piece of ice really opens up the flavour with each sip and I can notice the subtle differences more.
For me it isn't a temperature thing, but just a lazy way of adding a little bit of water so that the flavour changes slightly with every sip.
