well Burakovsky can go to the AHL because he was drafted out of Europe ... that's what the Bruins have done with David Pastrnak

and with Duclair, Bobby Mac says that the 10 game threshold means nothing because his ELC won't slide in any case (that's the same rule that would have burned Poiriers 1st year if he hadn't signed his ELC prior to January 1, I believe). Might as well keep him in the NHL and loan him to the WJC

BTW, a couple of leftovers that didn't make my tsn.ca story: Even if NYR sent Duclair back to Jr, his 1st year of contract is burned anyway.

Duclair was signed after Jan. 1, so some different rules apply. In any case, his contract won't "slide".

Also, on Burakovsky, WSH can send him to Hershey of AHL, doesn't have to go back to junior. Was drafted out of SWE, so no Jr. obligation.
