First it wasn't my plan, I wanted Timbo shot to reveal his alignment (which I believed, and still do believe is town) so that would let the town and others know that Drury18 was town as well at the time.
But when Formulate was decided, it was perfect. Are you forgetting that the plan was to rewind time and the person would come back to life? So it didn't matter that he was bulletproof, if that ended up being the case. All we were looking for was their alignment and if I was wrong about him I wouldn't have to reveal my tracking ability and hurt the town doing it. I wasn't entirely sure why my tracking didn't work at the time, I could have been blocked and it had nothing to do with formulate. It was only when he wasn't killed that I was certain he was trackingproof and bulletproof and I thought getting out the Godfather was worth my reveal.
And remember that I targeted him the first night. I wasn't going to go with he was 100% mafia and I will die/reveal to prove it because it would have been a chaotic first night but I wanted 1 reason to go for him very hard without the mafia thinking I had a power at night. You can see how hard I went for him after the doctor post and even when I wasn't voting for him I kept mentioning him as a suspect in case I did die at night and my tracking was revealed someone would pick up on it. I don't see a reason why I would have been doing that if I was mafia, because then people wouldn't want to go for formulate.
