I am fairly new to Scotch in the last 3-4 years and haven't ventured out too much , so not an expert taster by any means. 90% of the time I have Glenfiddich 12yo but I have tried others (Grant's, Johnny Walker)

I need to buy a new bottle, any recommendations for someone with my limited experience?
Try Oban as a treat. It's more expensive but worth it IMO....a good "graduation" from Fiddich 12yr (though can't go wrong with that!).

Highland Park 12 yr also can't go wrong.

You probably want to stay away from the Highlands (region) if you don't like peat, I'm the same way. I got a really nice bottle of Glenmorangie Nectar D'Or and it was horrible...wayyyy too intense for me.

PS. Go to Highlander Wine & Spirits (one in Marda, one in Richmond in SW), they always have someone very knowledgeable on scotch that will give you a free 5 minute education and make recommendations. Or I'm sure any of the other high end liquor stores in town. Just ask!
