So my question is : should I just suck it up start fresh, or use a Time Capsule backup and the Migration Assistant to try and hit the ground running? Is it reliable and easy to do it like this, or will I just end up having to start from scratch again afterwards anyway?
I used the Migration Assistant once and was very impressed how easy it was. I went from a MacBook to an iMac, I was prompted for a few things and everything transferred without a hitch. This was three or four years ago, so I don't know if the quality has decreased since.
