People using their brains would help a lot too. People thinking the can out run a train is a lot of the problem.
People can say " If only it was this way" but that's not the problem. Its people not thinking and using their heads.
Edit: Its one of my biggest peeves. The only way a train can hit you is by going in front of it.
Unless you put yourself on tracks you won't get hit! Barring someone pushing you or the train jumping the tracks . I see so many stories around the world of people walking on the tracks and getting hit.
