I would say this is as expected for a young team this early in the re-build. With age our team will learn to play "their game", but for now they let the other team set the pace.
When the flames play Florida (or Winnipeg plays terribly), the Flames play to their level. If flames play a decent team, they play up to their level.... but the rails sometimes come off late in the third when the experience advantage takes over.
Just my thoughts.
