Also look at this: The Canada-China FIPA agreement was ratified recently and it includes provisions that would put Canadian taxpayers on the hook for lawsuit payouts if any of our laws,
in their opinion, hurts the profits of Chinese companies doing business in Canada. The process of litigation would take place in international tribunals that are completely outside the Canadian court system, so there is absolutely no accountability to the Canadian people in any of this.
In other words, this is essentially a wealth transfer from Canadian taxpayers to Chinese businessmen.
