This just doesn't make sense. Why scratch JG and then bring in Jooris to play, not on Colborn's line, but Monahan's line? Why was it ok for Jooris to play with Monahan but not Gaudreau?

This kind of sentiment is just ridiculous.
Bob Hartley, like every single coach at every level of profesional hockey, has one goal to achieve. Wins. That's why he does what he does and thats what will ultimately determine his future with the Flames. His job is, indeed, to win. Period.
Purposely sabotaging a player the entire team and city is enthralled with and cheering for would be a totally anti-winning course. In fact, his future may very well hinge on making sure guys like Gaudreau and others succeed in the NHL and contributing to a winning style...that would see him getting another contract as much as anything else he could do.
