Yeah, that's what I thought too and was kind of surprised no one on the broadcast mentioned it. I just watched it in slow motion and it looked like he deflected it although the camera was directly behind Johnny so I can't be positive. As you say he reacted like he scored it. From the SN replay from another angle, it's more blurry but a stick comes down and redirects it and it looks like Johnny's stick.
