I know that people want a “cooler” design but traditionally the big tenants in Calgary that sign leases (Oil & Gas, and Engineers) want efficiency over aesthetics. Trying to design a functional office build out in an odd ball shape is difficult and there is always unusable space left over that you have to pay on. Don’t just blame the Landlords for these boring buildings, some blame goes to the tenants.
