A hard purchase to make when there will be those who would rather save a little and get the Galaxy S5, outright buyers, and trying to compete overall with all the other Android handsets (AKA Samsung and co.)
Edit: I predict a lack of overall popularity surrounding the phone and by Christmas to be heavily discounted by the carriers on their upfront contract price.

Yeah, seems like an odd strategy to me. People barely bought Nexus devices when they were $400, I'm not sure they're going to really see a lot of business when they're doubling the price.
