Interesting year in the CFL. The Riders 9 wins have been 5 against Winnipeg and Ottawa (and one of those in OT) - the two worst teams in the league. They have 4 wins against the rest of the CFL combined to go along with 6 losses.

Also, the Riders have lost or are losing the season series against every team in the CFL not from Winnipeg or Ottawa (again, the 2 worst teams in the league).

Already lost the season series to all of Toronto, Hamilton, Montreal and BC. Are losing the season series to both Calgary and Edmonton with games left to play against each of them.

Their 9-6 record is smoke and mirrors. They are also -31 in the points for/against metric. No other team with a +.500 record is on the negative side of the points for/against comparison. Considering they have 2 games left against the Esks - who are actually playing some pretty good ball right now - and 1 game left against the class of the league Stamps, it is quite possible they end up at 9-9 and crossing over to lose the East semi-final.
