It never hit $100, they were sold for $100 off the original retail price. I remember them hitting $200 and $249 as there was a huge rush for the phones when I was trying to get in on them when the discounts hit.

Likely the same thing will happen and we'll see a $249 and $299 price point on the N5.
This is a clearance to get rid of stock if a new phone shows up, but Google might actually continue selling the Nexus 5 long term. We'll see in a week or so.
