Some of the ways they were trying to create tension and advance the story were wearing on me a bit. The moment where the scientist guy stopped trying to get their attention, picked up a machine gun, and proceeded to murder the truck kind of soured me for the rest of the season.

Probably unfair, I know, because as you said there were some key and powerful moments that really re-shaped the tone and direction of the show.

As for this episode, I was actually kind of glad they skimped on the Terminus backstory a bit. They tried to humanize these people a little, but it wasn't enough to overcome the pure satisfaction I had every time one of these heartless people-eaters were being eaten by a mindless people-eater.
