It does use a bit more battery life than normal. This looks like not a fault of the service itself but rather the LCD getting turned on more to show you the notifications. Unlike the Moto X, the Oneplus doesn't use an AMOLED display so can't turn on the individual pixels without turning on the whole screen. I found it used about 5% more than my average day.
Pushbullet is another great app I always get on my phones. It's another notification service that allows for similar notifications on a desktop PC for office workers. You can also drag and drop files between your PC and your phone as well as quickly send files to other pushbullet users. Always loved timely and beautiful widgets pro. Greenify for keeping battery usage in check. This stuff's been posted on the other thread before I think.
