As for Brodie, I could see him getting a 1 or 2 year bridge deal and then cashing in after that. If he wants term this summer than I would think it's reasonable to assume he's not going to get elite-type money right away. Maybe something along the lines of 4 or 5 years at 4 to 4.5 million. Would hate to have him "Tyler Myers" on us (although realistically I do not see that happening).
No matter what happens, I want to see these two together for a very long time.

I can see Calgary making Gio the highest paid player on the team. That'll be the bar, and no contracts will be higher then his. If I recall I think Detroit did something like that with Lidstrom.
That way, he is the leader and is paid as that.
