This made me laugh
Enough that I'm going to tweet it.
Had to work last night, so I PVR'd it and just finished watching it.
Some notes:
Oilers controlled play for good portions of the game, but didn't get any dangerous chances 5v5. I tried to keep now of "ten bell chances". If you ranked them, flames had 7 of the top ten chances of the game. A lot of the Oilers shots were no traffic type shots. The Flames owned their slot.
Not many flames looked good.
-Raymond had lots of chances, not just the goals.
-Glencross looked great
-Bouma was awesome. The guy is so underrated because he plays such an understated game
-Ramo was great, but want really tested with that many top quality SA. Saying that, he didn't let in anything either.
-Schultz wears the horns here IMO. That last goal was telling, but not the only time. Bouma and Gio block shots when losing 5-1 in the third period of the last meaningless game of the season last year. Schultz drifted back to help a 4 on two down low and put no effort in. When down 3-2 he whispers sweet nothings in Raymond's ear while he directs the puck in because he doesn't want to dirty his jersey. That's why they don't win. You can't just turn it off and on. The best players just can't give up all time. That is why culture matters
