Oh, so you are one of those people...
I had a guy, who after one month of employment asked for half of September off to celebrate the Jewish high holidays (the guy was as Scottish as they get, but nonetheless). I allowed the time-off without pay. He threatened to file a Human Rights complaint. We paid him for two weeks just to avoid having to deal with that thing and then fired him before his probationary period expired.
