My first game in Edmonton. I've got a couple thoughts

-Gaudreau had a quiet game. Made a couple bad passes in the offensive zone. He dumped the puck twice in this game. I've never seen him dump the puck before unless it was a line change. Maybe a request of the coaches to not always carry the puck in. Didn't seem to get much ice time and/or was not noticeable otherwise.

-Credit where credit is due. Offensively, the Oilers top line was the only line generating pressure on the Flames. But beyond that, almost nothing. That team has no depth. Draisaitl was invisible.

-It's fortunate for Hall that he isn't Russian, because the fans and media should be calling out his one dimensional game. I don't care that you're down 2 goals with less than a minute left, you cannot leave the trailing defensemen on a rush to swoop around behind the net.

-I enjoyed the homeless guy playing the trash buckets and the guy playing the banjo outside the train station after the game. Very Edmonton.

-Scrivens wasn't great, but all the Flames goals were top notch chances.

-Gio had a solid bounce back game (I thought he was average in the opener).

-The Oilers pipe organ music makes my ears bleed. The frequency it plays at is actually painful.

-Overall, great game. I even got an Oilers scarf to wipe my oil dipstick with.
