Nothing has been mentioned about consequences, and I don't want to imply that anything has been mentioned, but when they say that they trust I will make the right choice that does concern me that this isn't just something that if I say no, I'll be skipping away unharmed.

I think it is the guardians person trying to be funny. Mine was humorous. It was like we are going have some corporate restricting at guardian co as we are not meeting our stated recruitment targets of 100%. Then it went on to say don't join the eternals as they are being prosecuted for their crimes and being a white collar criminal in prison isn't any fun.
